Technically no. According to the International Coaching Federation, coaches provide services such as listening and encouraging – and not much else. While Marc provides these services as well, he also offers ideas, guidance, and answers to questions. In addition, Marc can also provide related services beyond the scope of the contract.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does Marc provide coaching services?
Does Marc need to visit our place of business?
When possible, Marc will always prefer to visit you and your team in person. Depending on the type of work, it may be regularly or just one time. However many clients are too far away for this to practically happen. In such cases, Skype, FaceTime, email, and phone will suffice
How much does Marc’s consulting services cost?
The hourly rate for Marc’s consulting services is $120 CDN or $80 USD. However this rate decreases when contracts are made for specific amounts of time.
How long does a contract need to be?
There is no official minimum or maximum duration of a contract. However for the sake of efficiency, a two hour session is generally as low as it gets.
How does Marc charge?
Projects requiring just a few hours of time are generally charged by the hour with no contract in place. Contracts are usually for at least 20 hours. For projects that may last weeks or months, there are two options:
- A retainer fee is set for an agreed amount, then drawn from as required. Once the retainer is depleted, it is topped up. This is ideal for situations where you may not know how much or how often you will require Marc’s services, but want access to him as needed.
- A set fee is established, specifying the total number of hours to be provided and the expected deliverables. For obvious reasons, deliverables cannot be guaranteed.
If I terminate the contract, do I get my unused retainer back?
If you choose to terminate a contract before it is completed, you will receive the unpaid retainer back, less 20% of the fees billed up to that point. For set fees, no refunds are provided for early termination.
How are expenses handled?
Out of pocket expenses such as travel are either billed directly to the client, or drawn from the retainer.
